In association with our regular Saturday night naturists swimming sessions, we are organising a 1000 Euros bodypainting competition over 10 months (ending October 2007). The rules are listed below.
Invitees, having submitted previous works for consideration, will be provided with a model, and overnight accommodation if wanted. Anyone however may participate if they bring their own model (or pay for one we provide, by arrangement).

Not all the possible future dates are booked yet so if you're body-painter.... come on in and participate.
Next session arranged is for September 8th and again the 22nd.
Emma has now taken the lead with 40.6, pipping Lynne's 40.3 More entries invited!

If you feel as a possible painter you are not ready for a competition, but you'd like to just come and "have a go", we will accommodate you any Saturday we have a swim (Sundays from Octoner onwards) and we will provide paints and brushes for £10. You must provide the model (or we can, at cost, if any.) Equally, if you'd like to be painted, just for fun (ie unpaid), get in touch.
Here is the Prested Hall Home Page. We have a hotel, which is a weddings and conferences venue, plus a large leisure and tennis centre. We also run weekly Life Drawing classes.

Our BP Competition; the rules
The competition will run randomly (according to entries) on any 2nd & 4th or 5th Saturday nights of the month until the beginning of October 2007.
To be invited to the preliminary heats, painters must supply proof of competence with examples of their own work. Would-be entrants who do not satisfy the organisers on this front may come by arrangement but must pay for the model or provide their own. Invitees will be provided with a model and overnight supper, B&B. Models supplied by the organizers will be nude, and if a painter brings their own model their score will be reduced by 15% if the model was not nude. Painters using a male model get an additional 10% . Painting will not start before 4.30 pm and must be presented before 9pm. Presentation between 9 & 9.15 would mean a 5% reduction and between 9.15 & 9.30 (the absolute latest) would cause a 10% penalty. The model must be allowed reasonable short breaks.
The final will be between the two best painters according to the Saturday night swimmers' judgement. A third finalist may be invited by the organisers at their absolute discretion if they feel somebody else really should be present.
The final will be held at Prested Hall on 24th November 2007 with the same judging criteria as for the heats. Any painters who have competed but attend the final as spectators only may vote, and their scoring, and the organiser's, would have double value.
The winner and second placed painter will receive 670 and 330 Euros respectively.
Finalists will receive up to £75 actually incurred travel expenses and free supper B&B accommodation overnight.
Judging through the months will be based as follows.
Each swimmer over 18 will be invited to mark each competitor out of ten for matters as follows:
a) originality of thought in artistic design
b) imaginative use of the body’s shapes and quirks
c) technical execution
d) General awe of visual impact.
e) the extent of use of the whole body.
An additional 5 marks are available when the painter has arranged a photo (perhaps with or by the organiser) which will be judged by the organisers later. The judging criterion is that the painting was conceived with the photo in mind and that this enhances the otherwise impression.
The total marks available are therefore 55 .
